Lets Work Together!

At Kids`N`Krayons, our fundamental objective is to provide your child a safe, clean and loving environment, in which each child will feel loved, valued and wanted. Thus, we have developed the following policies regarding the day to day functioning of the school.

Parent Participation
Kids ‘N’ Krayons is a preschool that believes in Parent participation. Parents are expected to contribute towards the well being and quality of the program. We expect at least one parent to attend all the functions and events of the school to encourage and motivate your child. Attending open houses is compulsory. You are requested to make it a point to read all the circulars and letters sent by us as they may contain important information about your child and his/her activities.

Security of your child
At Kids ‘N’ Krayons security is our utmost concern and hence we provide 2 ID cards per parent and only those persons whose names and photos are on the ID cards will be allowed to pick up the child. Incase of a third person coming to pick up the child, a written permission or a phone call in advance from the parents is a must, failing which the child will not be handed over to any person who is unknown to us. ID cards for the children using the van service are also issued and must be carried by the person picking up the child.

Release of children
Children will not be released to anyone except those authorized to pick up the child in our written records. Identification will be required from those who are unfamiliar to the staff if they are authorized by you to pick up your child .

Signing in and out
We require your signature when you drop off and pick up your child. The Sign In & Out record register will be kept at the front desk.

Accidents and Injuries
In case of injuries, first aid will be administered to a child needing immediate attention. Parents shall be informed in such cases.

If a child exhibits signs of illness, it will be determined if the symptoms indicate the need for exclusion from school until remedied. In the event, a child becomes ill and needs to be picked up. The child will be separated from the rest of the children until a parents arrives.

Any child too ill to participate in the normal activities of the pre-school will be excluded from attending school. Children with suspicion of having Measles, Hand foot mouth, Mumps or Chickenpox should be kept at home until non-infectious. Children with generalized rash and fever should be kept at home till the correct diagnosis is done. You are requested to send us a letter of complete recovery from your family physician.

Children with gastro-intestinal problems i.e. vomiting, diarrhea should be excluded from attending school.

Symptoms for exclusion from school
1. Fever of 101 degrees or higher
2. Diarrhea ( Three of more watery stools within 24 hours)
3. Vomiting on two or more occasions during the past 24 hours
4. A draining rash
5. Eye discharge or pink eyes

1. Please handover the Medical Profile form of your child provided to you in the Orientation folder to us so that we are equipped to handle any unforeseen situation.

2. Parental and physician’s written consent is required to administer any medication

We want your child to enjoy their time at preschool. It’s advisable to dress them in simple comfortable clothes which are suitable, according to the weather. Please avoid fancy clothes with too many zips and buckles are they may hamper the child’s activities. Always keep an extra set of clothes in your childs bag which can be used in case of emergencies. (Do see that they are labelled)

Snacks and Water
Snacks need to be sent by the Parents as we believe that a Parent knows best about the likes and dislikes of their child. Our duty is to teach them proper eating habits and table manners.

Aquaguard water will be served in school but if your child is habituated to boiled water. Please send the same from home in a child-friendly bottle. The Snackbox, Napkin as well as the Bottle should be labelled.
